Guarantee of Deposits and Securities

All deposits with Sampo Pank (Danske Bank A/S Estonia branch) are guaranteed 100% up to the maximum of EUR 100,000 per depositor and securities, in the event they are not returned, will be compensated for in the maximum amount of EUR 20,000 by the the Danish Guarantee Fund for Depositors and Investors.

 

What is the Danish Guarantee Fund for Depositors and Investors

The Danish Guarantee Fund for Depositors and Investors (the ”Guarantee Fund”) is a private independent institution established by an Act approved by the Danish Parliament. Its Board of Directors, which is appointed by the Minister for Economic and Business Affairs, includes representatives of the Danish financial sector and the Danish Consumer Council.
 

What and to what extent does the Danish Guarantee Fund cover?

The Guarantee Fund shall guarantee compensation for the losses incurred by clients, in the event Danske Bank A/S becomes subject to compulsory winding-up. The Guarantee Fund shall cover both your loss of savings and your losses if the financial institution does not return your securities – up to the above amount. The client’s debt to the bank will be deducted from the compensation.
 

What happens in the event of compulsory winding-up?

Within one month from the compulsory winding-up of the financial institution, customers will be sent information about further activities. The Danish Guarantee Fund will make payments and transfers to other credit institutions as soon as possible, but not later than within three months from the compulsory winding-up.
