Sampo Pank Improves Cyber Protection In Cooperation with the Foundation Vaata Maailma

On the 17th of December, Sampo Pank concluded a cooperation agreement with the foundation Vaata Maailma. The objective of the agreement Arvutikaitse 2009 (Computer Protection 2009) is to improve computer protection and make Estonia the most secure information society in the world by 2009.According to Lauri Ilison, Head of Sampo Pank’s Channels Department, the security of the Internet bank has always been an issue of paramount importance for the bank and therefore the bank regards it necessary to familiarize customers with the possibilities of using the ID-card.
“We would like to do our best to ensure that Sampo’s customers will not suffer due to cyber attacks and attempts of electronic theft in any way,” added Mr Ilison.
The objective of the parties to the agreement Arvutikaitse 2009 is to raise awareness about the security of information society. Also, the use of the ID-card and Mobile-ID is promoted for electronic personal identification.
