3. Types of securities transactions
You can submit different types of orders to the bank while trading securities.
Stock exchange deal: buying and selling securities on the stock market.
- In case of a market price order, the broker will finalise the deal at the best price on the market as soon as the client submits the order.
- In case of a limit price order, the client will set either the maximum buying price or the minimum selling price. The broker will submit the order in the trading system and it will be finalised according to the movements in the market price. The limit order can be placed even outside stock exchange hours, with maximum term of 30 days. When the set upper or lower limit of the price does not allow a deal to be made within this period, the transaction will not be completed.
Deal with counterparty: a securities transaction whereby securities are transferred from the account of one client to the account of the other client, with all the conditions of the transaction previously agreed upon (price, quantity, value date). In order to complete the deal, both parties must submit an order to the bank, so that it could be registered.
- Deal with counterparty involving payment: the securities will be transferred from the seller to the buyer, while the respective sum of money will be automatically debited from the buyer’s account. Orders that have been submitted on a banking day before 12 noon will be executed on the same day.
- Deal with counterparty involving no payment: the securities will be transferred from the seller to the buyer without any money being transferred in return. When the parties involved have agreed upon the method of payment, they will have to perform it according to mutual agreement (e.g. by payment transaction or in cash). Orders that have been submitted on a banking day before 4pm will be executed on the same day.
4. Value dates of transactions

- deal with counterparty involving no payment: on the banking day agreed on by the parties involved
