Single payment

-- BOXES END --

International payment is the most comfortable way to deal in foreign currency and/or with persons living abroad.

  • You can make international payments in all currencies quoted by Sampo Pank.
  • You can submit international payment orders at all Sampo offices, and over Sampo Telephone Bank or Sampo Internet Bank.

To initiate an international payment order, please fill in the details of the beneficiary:

  • name and address of beneficiary
  • international account number (IBAN) or account number of the beneficiary
  • name and address (town, state) of the beneficiary bank
  • identification code of the beneficiary bank – SWIFT/BIC or some other code

Service fees and expenses

The service fees will be deducted from Your account according to the valid price list, when the payment order is executed.

  • The distribution of expenses depends on the agreement between the payer and the beneficiary. As a rule the burden of expenses is shared, the payer covering the expenses of her bank and the beneficiary covering the expenses of her bank.

An international payment in the currency of an European Economic Area (EEA) state, the payee and the payer’s payment service providers (the payer’s bank, the payee’s bank) of which are located in the EEA and the payment does not involve currency exchange, may be initiated only using the service fee type “Shared”. If the payment has been initiated in the currency of an EEA state and the type of service fee is “Shared”, none of the payment service providers (the payer’s bank, the payee’s bank or the payment intermediary) shall be allowed to deduct any charges from the amount transferred within the EEA, i.e. that the full amount indicated on the payer’s payment order must be received in the payee’s account.

  • In case the full amount of transferable funds must reach the beneficiary, the payer will also cover, in addition to the expenses of her bank, the expenses of the foreign bank (including paying state taxes etc.). If a payment is made in USD, the Bank does not guarantee that the full amount will be received in the beneficiary's account.

According to current state law all residents of Estonia must declare any international payments worth EUR 50 000 or more (or its equivalent in another currency).
