About the Group Working at Sampo Pank How do we look after our employees?

Working at Sampo Pank

We will help You settle in

The process of settling in begins already at the final interview, where we discuss thoroughly Your working conditions, Your team and everything relevant about the organisation.

On the first day at work, You will be acquainted with our working principles and internal regulations. You will have a mentor that will help You settle in – a professional in his field and a bearer of Sampo values. In cooperation with the mentor, You will devise a schedule for the mentor period, in order for You to know exactly what You need to know and learn.

We will grant opportunities of personal development

We are of the opinion that employees that manage their own lives make best partners for our clients.

Every employee is responsible for his/her personal development and Sampo offers opportunities and support for this.

We value sharing knowledge and experience within the team and on the level of the whole organization. You also have the opportunity to become an internal tutor or mentor.

During the settling-in period all new employees receive training, where knowledge of the structure, history and culture of the organisation is taught.

On specific posts (e.g. teller, contact manager), employees are trained by the bank.

Sampo employees have the opportunity to take part in training courses both in Estonia and abroad, depending on the specifics of the job and the needs of the organisation.

We value our employees through traditions

We take our time to relax on a thematic events. At Christmas we throw a party to the employees and their families – at the end of the year we honor the best people, nominating them for “Sampo Support”, “Sampo Sales Star”, “Sampo Team” and “Sampo Leader”.

Every autumn we take notice of the little ones starting school. We have a tradition of remembering our colleagues on birthdays and work anniversaries.

We care for a healthy job environment

Improving the office environment is a constant attention of our board. Good working conditions and health care are part of our organisational culture. We aim for a positive atmosphere, where our employees can keep in good physical, mental and emotional health.

In terms of working conditions we have regularly conducted risk assessments of the office space and since year 1996 surveyed the satisfaction levels of our employees. The suggestions of employees and results of the survey form the basis for us to improve conditions.

We support active leisure

Sampo are a group of sporty folks. Sampo Sports Club competes in several team events – volleyball, floorball, football, basketball. On several years we have won the annual sports cup among Estonian companies.
